US-based AI powerhouse Afiniti has confirmed plans to increase its footprint in Pakistan, which already hosts 80% of the company’s global AI operations.
The expansion plan, announced in May 2025, includes new hires in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. This comes as part of Pakistan’s broader AI-first employment policy, which includes tax breaks for AI firms hiring local talent.
Afiniti’s CTO, in a joint statement with Pakistan’s Ministry of IT, emphasized the “unique blend of technical expertise and affordability” that makes Pakistan an ideal AI engineering base.
