Pakistan’s Ministry of Finance has allocated a massive 2,000 megawatts of surplus electricity to develop crypto mining farms and artificial intelligence data centers—part of the broader vision laid out by the Pakistan Crypto Council.

The move is expected to boost employment, generate tech-driven exports, and attract energy-intensive foreign investments. With several industrial zones already being scouted for deployment, this initiative marks a fusion of energy monetization and digital transformation.

“This isn’t just about mining Bitcoin,” says Ahsan Latif, energy-tech analyst. “It’s about creating the infrastructure backbone for AI, Web3, and cloud computing industries.”
